Sketchup revit11/11/2022 I think that drawing the wood elements separately in 3D and then the and the house in 3D would help sort out locations and visualize the restoration. The challenge is that there are no records for the location of the woodwork. We are restoring the house and will replace as much of the original woodwork as possible. Is it worth the time to invest learning the Revit?Įarly 19th century brick house, +- 3500 sf, 2 floors, small town Ohio farmhouse (I'm great at AutoCAD but still learning Revit). I feel confident that I could easily do this with SketchUp because I'm familiar with the software and the wood detail is conducive to SketchUp's capabilities - but I'm wondering if it might be a missed opportunity not to use Revit. I am soliciting opinions about preferences for SketchUp vs Revit as a visualization tool for a historic property.
